Field Service Technician / Technical Support

We are a progressive On-Site Management company and wide format equipment reseller that provides facilities services and managed print services to Architects, Engineers, and Contractors. We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to provide technical support and equipment installation/repair/maintenance services for our client locations.

Position Profile:

The field service technician / technical support position is responsible for building relationships with our clients by providing on-site / hardware troubleshooting & repair, technical support, and network problem resolution in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, remote and on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of printing equipment and related software and network connectivity as needed
  • Facilitate & troubleshoot print-related technical needs at client locations, including device networking, software installations, and device driver implementations
  • Conduct friendly and professional customer interviews to understand requirements and make appropriate recommendations
  • Collaborate with customers and all internal teams as needed
  • Advise customers on best practices and take all actions possible to maximize customer productivity and prevent future service & support calls
  • Keep account managers and senior management informed of problem resolution/status as appropriate and in a timely manner
  • Document all issues, activities, and solutions in the helpdesk system a timely manner
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and protocols
  • Actively build positive relationships with internal and external customers to improve customer satisfaction, maximize customer loyalty and increase profitability
  • Other duties as needed/assigned

Requirements:

  • Outgoing, resourceful customer-focused individual
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Prior technical support related to print devices, associated software, and network connectivity
  • Working knowledge of basic electronics
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and respond to customers’ needs quickly and effectively
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Driver’s License and clean driving record
